About Us

Incorporated in 1962, H.D.C.C.P.C. is run by volunteers, parents and educators who are dedicated to the goal of quality early childhood education and parent education through participation in the program. 
Each family takes an active role in their preschool through a "Job Board" or, if possible, by making a deeper commitment to sit as a Board Member on the Co-operative's Executive Board. 
Part of H.D.C.C.P.C.'s mandate is to act as an "ADVISORY" board to co-operative preschools that are members of council. Hamilton & District Council's members are made up of Co-operative Preschools in Hamilton, Burlington, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Aberfoyle, Binbrook, Caledonia, Carlisle, Cayuga, Dundas, Lynden, Simcoe, Stoney Creek, Vineland, West Lincoln, & Woodstock. Many schools offer participating and non-participating spots in their programs to meet the individual needs of each family wishing to enroll their children in a Co-operative Preschool.
